What’s the best digital camera to buy,computer monitor,and DVD recorder?

I’m going shopping,what is the best digital camera to buy,computer monitor,and dvd recorder with a dual vhs deck to record old vhs movies .
I am leaning towards the Samsung Syncmaster 19″ monitor for computer,Panasonic DVR recorder with vcr combo with DVR,and a cannon power or super shot digital camera..What is a good one to get,with adequate pixels and easy to transfer onto a computer Cd. thanks in advance for your answers.
